I am a 39 y.o.(131 lb.) female who has had a seizure disorder for 20 yrs. I am presently on Tegretol 200mg/tid. (I have had grand mal seizures and myoclonic jerks, in the past) I have been experiencing quick sharp pains and burning sensation on the top of my head on and off for the past 3 wks. It is also sensitive to the touch, at times. Went to my G.P. and he said probably from a bump on the head, swelling in the area causing pressure on a nerve? (I’m always hitting my head, and hit it getting in the car.)He put me on Naproxen. Within the last 4-5 days my left foot been feeling like it’s falling asleep/numb and yesterday my lt.bicep started going numb. (the symptoms come and go) I’ve also lost approx. 8 lbs. in the last 2 1/2 months.  
I haven’t seen a neurologist is approx 4 yrs and have an appointment scheduled for the end of the month with a new neurologist.  
Should I contact neuro. or just wait til my appointment? Could any symptoms be seizure related? (I haven’t had an MRI or EEG in over 4 years.) 
What do you think is my next step?

Numbness on one side of the body could be caused by any number of things ranging from the harmless to imminent stroke, none of which can be diagnosed over the internet, so I kindly advise that you talk to your own doctor and explain the symptoms and see what he/she thinks would be the proper schedule for the appointment.
