I started getting a big dark spot on my cheeks, nose, upper lip and chin. The left cheek isn’t as dark as the rest of the spots on my face. I haven’t taken birth control in years (I did not get this when I was taking them), and I am not pregnant nor have I ever been. I have been using the drug Hydroquinone and even lemon juice and nothing seems to help. I even use a mild facial scrub. What could have caused this to happen? Should I be concerned? What else can I do to fade this? I have had it for two years now. I have not been in the sun at all, except now, I started going to the tanning bed, which I try to cover up my face as much as possible, but last weekend, we went swimming and I was exposed to the sun, which caused it to get darker.

Sounds like you have areas of hyperpigmentation. It’s a good idea to protect them from direct sunlight and use especially strong sunblock on the darker areas. It’s probably nothing to worry about except in the cosmetic sense, but to make sure, please have your own doctor take a look.
