Lumps in Lower Back

I am 26 years old and have noticed these large lumps on my lower back- right near my spine. It has happened 4 times now. They come 1 at a time and they go away after about 4 or so. This has all been new since the last few weeks. It is always in the same spot but has switched to my right side this last time. They are big, not movable, kind of hard and have no noticable colour that I can see. There is pain when touched, sitting, walking, bending over and are about the size of your palm cut in half length and width wise. Does this sound like anything familier to you? Also- even after they go do away there is still pain when touched.?

Dr. Joshua’s Answer

From the above description it is hard to for me to say for sure, but it sounds to me like they are muscle stiffness related. The only way to make a diagnosis would be to visit your primary care physician when the lumps are occurring so they could be physically examined.
