Vaginal Discharge, Itching, Pain, Burning

I am a 37 year old woman. I am having symptoms of feeling as I have a fullness in the lower abdominal region, an abnormal discharge (not all the time but when it does occur it is a thick white color ~ no oder) sometimes feeling a wetness in the vagina. There is also occasional itching (moderate) and burning on the outside of the vagina. I have recently became sexual involved with someone ~ the pressure in my lower abdominal is stronger after sex as well as having sharp knife like pains that seem to come from the outside of the vagina into the abdominal region. I did have a hysterectomy around 9 years ago due to endomentrious (msp ?). I still have my ovaries. Thank you so very much for your opinion.

Dr. Joshua’s Answer:

Itching, burning and thick white discharge are symptoms of yeast infection, increased sexual activity as the predisposing factor.

However, the feeling of fullness and pain are not explained by yeast infection, and should be evaluated by a gynecologist. A physical examination and an ultrasound examination is advisable, especially with a history of endometriosis even though you’ve had a hysterectomy. Ovarian masses should be excluded also by ultrasound.
