IST, MVP, heart arrhythmia, short of breath, dizzy

I have IST with MVP. My resting heart rate is 125. Blood Pressure is sometime very low. At time 90 over 45. I wake up very tired. At night I have cold night sweats and I feel very dizzy during the day. I become very short of breath and recently I passed out going up the stairs. I don’t know what is happening to me. I am taking digixon and tenorman. Should I be worried?

Dr. Joshua’s Answer:

(I have answered this question via e-mail)

Please remember that I cannot answer questions regarding medical emergencies.

While sinus tachycardia (IST) and mitral valve prolapse (MVP) do not necessarily require treatment, you may have symptoms of congestive heart failure and you should seek immediate medical attention. Congestive heart failure symptoms should always be evaluated immediately.
