I am a 30 year old female.. anyway about 3 years ago, I started having severe vaginal bleeding between my periods, accompanied by severe abdominal cramping, and significant weight loss. After going from doctor to doctor, and being told everything was normal.. except for one, who thought endometriosis might be the culprit, although everytime I was at the doctor I was bleeding so much the pap smears weren’t always of the best quality.
After a year of being told everything was ok and that this is normal… I stopped pursuing it, thinking I was crazy. Symptoms eased up for a while… a little abnormal bleeding here and there, but recently am have started having abnormal bleeding again, instead of having a period once a month, sometimes I have it nearly 3 weeks a month….with sometimes severe abdominal cramping and cramping in my legs…. along with this, every day my energy levels are decreasing, and severe fatigue is now playing a major role in this.
I plan to see a doctor with in the next couple of weeks, but the way I am feeling wondering if I should see one sooner.?? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Dr. Joshua’s Answer:
Thank you for your question. Please note that I cannot answer emergency or other questions concerning acute illness. I’m happy that you are seeing a doctor soon. Endometriosis is a possibility. You should see a gynecologist and get a vaginal ultrasound done, possibly a CT or MRI of the lower abdomen. Sometimes an exploratory endoscopic surgical operation may be necessary. Please let me know how it turns out, and write back if you need more assistance.?
