Unfortunately there is no way of knowing what Relacore actually contains. It is not regulated, and therefore no documentation of the substances is required. Therefore I do not recommend taking Relacore for weight loss while taking Paxil for a mood disorder. I cannot be sure that there are no interactions. Some dangerous interactions between prescription drugs and “natural” supplements have been reported.?

However, I can tell you that Relacore will not help you lose weight. There is absolutely no evidence that weight loss could be achieved by any such nutritional supplement. In fact, you should be extremely critical when considering any weight loss program and all over-the counter weight loss drugs are practically useless. Paxil on the other hand is a well-documented and effective treatment for mood disorders, and you should absolutely continue Paxil as you doctor has ordered.
