Always Hungry

I am a 26 year old mother of 3 children. In the last 2 weeks I’ve noticed that I am always hungry and it’s all day long and it’s not just annoying stomach grumbling. Even if I eat a special K bar when I’m feeling hungry just to hold me over until my next full meal, it doesn’t seem to do the trick. Then two hours after eating a full meal I’m starving again.
I’m 5’9” and weigh about 150 lbs. I’m not on any special diets and haven’t changed my eating habits so I can’t figure out why I have to eat large amounts every two-three hour

Dr. Joshua’s Answer:

Increased appetite is generally not a worrying symptom unless you gain weight, have diabetes, or have an eating disorder. It is usually a sign of your energy consuption increasing for various reasons, exercise, work, kids, etc. Give it some time, and if you feel it continues to be a problem, visit the doctor. Have your blood sugar levels checked to rule out diabetes.
