For the last two months, I have had a constant pain in my left leg that travels up and down the leg from hip joint to calf. I can barely cross my left leg, put on my left shoe, even bending over to pick up things I can feel the pain in my hip joint. I’ve never fallen to cause this. I exercise (lots of subway steps everyday) and walk ( don’t own a car). My leg POPS!!! very loudly and hurts when it does this. This is causing me to walk with a limp. Help! I’m a 40 year old female that can pass for my late 20’s. What is this? and why at my young age. I am 5′1 and 115lbs.
Dr. Joshua’s Answer:
You need to see the doctor. Clinical examination is crucial, and a hip joint X-ray should be done at least. Meanwhile, ibuprofen 400-600 mg x 3 daily will help ease the symptoms. Check ibuprofen precautions
