Drugs and Liver Damage

I am a 17 year old male who takes many medicines daily
(not including acetaminophen or NSAIDs.) Usually I take
at the most 8 pills a day. I am afraid of what this
does to my liver, but then again I see older people
take tons of medicine a day. I am wondering exactly how
this affects my liver?

Dr. Joshua’s Answer:

Not all medicines cause liver damage, in fact most medicines do not. I don’t know which medicines you’re taking, but if you are following your doctor’s orders to the letter, your liver should be safe. If you’re still worried, you can check this extensive list:
HepCnet

..and if you find any of the medicines you’re taking, call your doctor and ask about it.
